Royal Doulton Catherine Middleton Wedding Day Figurine

Catherine Royal Wedding Day HN5559 – Royal Doulton Figurine

Millions of people around the world eagerly awaited their first glimpse of Kate Middleton in her wedding dress. The blushing bride did not disappoint as she emerged in a breathtaking ivory gown designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, a fashion house based in the United Kingdom. The dress featured a V-neckline; an intricate, long-sleeved lace overlay and full skirt of silk and satin. With a modest train, simple tiara, drop earrings and cascading curls, the look was timeless, elegant and very Kate.

After months of anticipation, master modeler Neil Welch unveiled his masterpiece of Catherine Middleton on her wedding day. Not only did Neil capture the gown perfectly, he managed to capture Kate’s delicate features – a challenging process for any sculptor to achieve. Notice the multitude of details, from the Cartier halo-inspired tiara on loan from Queen Elizabeth II to the dazzling 18-carat sapphire and diamond engagement ring once worn by Princess Diana and the bouquet containing Sweet William blooms, lily-of-the-valley and a stem of myrtle from a bush planted by Queen Victoria in 1845.
